in accordance with my promise in an earlier post, for post #80 i shall give a stimulating recount of our interclass soccer '07. (Y)
last monday we started our interclass, although we weren't in a good mood. why? because we had to wait for 3 hours for our game, then receive news that it would be postponed until after school. zzz.
our first match was against 3E. we currently (k since its over) - we HOLD the record for fastest goal scored in the tournament. brief recount of incident:
0s - kickoff
2s - fake by gareth
3s - shot by gareth (on the halfway line)
6s - goal (Y): a swerving shot that eluded the keeper's grasp at the last second!
we went totally wild la! xD
within the next 1 minute:
0s - kickoff
30+s - open play, out for throw in
40+s - throw in taken (by me hah) and ding scores with a thumping headed goal!
we owned the rest of the game, but it couldn't compare to the first 2 minutes man. pure pwnage.
so first score: 3P 2-0 3E
next game was against 3F...we only managed a measly draw with them. they just set up shot in defence la. they had two off the line clearances. wth. so..
3P 0-0 3F
last game, a (supposed to be) exciting game between two of the favourites! 3M vs 3P.
ding hit the post in the first half. second half we conceded a bloody stupid goal.

i jump for the header with qiaoer but both of us barely miss it
tom sees it and decides to let it in, thinking it was a throw and therefore not counted.
and it was given as a goal T_T
so we lost. 3M 1-0 3P
zzzzzzz. i felt like shit after the game. but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise la. (Y)
cos we lost, we went through the group on goal difference. we went thru by a +2 goal difference on four points. damn pathetic la. but it gave us an easier game against 3D in place of 3C had we topped the group.
against 3D we played quite rubbishly again. in the end it went to a penalty shootout, but we almost got knocked out here. at one point in a defensive mixup i let the attacker sneak behind me and almost pop in a goal, hitting the post after tom was beaten. felt like shit again la. my mistake almost caused us to be knocked out of interclass.
so it went to penalties. long story short, we won. but not after a hell lot of controversy over an (un)blown whistle that caused us to retake a penalty (and miss). bah.
then we had the semi-final against 3T, which was erm a quite comfortable game where we played slightly better, and where gareth scored his second goal of the tournament. and our last in open play. which makes our overall goal difference +2. 3 for, 1 against. T_T quite pathetic. zz.
as 3R won their clash with 3C, we had setup a mouthwatering final with 3R.
as my fingers start to get tired of typing so much, i shall post later tonight. or maybe tmr. toodles.
