can't believe i actually shed tears over a show.

i guess that's why i like watching naruto so much, and why i've suddenly continued my naruto watching marathon yesterday.

the show isn't just about the fights, the angst, the laughs.

its about the people, the seemingly stereotypical but very very real characters. people that you and i can relate to. its so real.

episode 114 - the (apparent) death of chouji.

a character that everyone liked to laugh about, a character that even the producers made fun of. every single one of his techniques were laughable - double size, human cannonball, etc. from the prior 113 episodes, he seemed like just a fringe character, one thats the prerequisite fatty for every show.

how wrong i was.

that very same feeling i felt towards him at the start, the absurdity of the character was very quickly gone when i saw just how isolated he was, and the great friendship that he had with shikamaru. many characters are like that, where they overcome their isolation and loneliness and emerge stronger. its a very real thing nowadays, especially in our teenage years. many people may seem okay on the outside, but may be hurting deep.

i guess its a testament of how good the show is, that when even fringe characters take centre stage you feel for them. that when even fringe characters die (or seemingly die) you can weep. that a show can handle deaths, yet emerge greater and a better show from it.

how human it is, huh. the hokage's death, which i watched during ct period was equally affecting. both gave their lives for their village, their friends. sacrifices. of course chouji didnt die in the end, but anyway surprisingly it doesn't cheapen the way i feel.

this sort of cements what i feel about God at the moment. i guess it has never seemed so real, the sacrifice of a life for a friend. Jesus's sacrifice for me. i've never really appreciated the true significance of that one act. maybe it may all have been words before, but now i see how it really is the ultimate sacrifice.

He gave His life for me.
now i shall live for Him.

lol after much thought, actually the chalet was not bad la. although not exactly ideal, it was still a welcome break from the monotony of life now. (even if its to the monotony of xbox, but whatever)

2 hour dota games are quite deadly. im feeling super drained and tired now lol. score of 26-12, but no beyond, only godlike zzz. bloodseeker is easy. btw naga at late game is just unkillable.

went to buy my books for next year today. the guy at the cashier gave me 9 bucks extra change, but i very nicely returned him the amount, even waiting for 10 minutes for them to count whether i really got back extra moolah. (a)

psgm meeting for tmr cancelled, so my day tmr is free again! gymin in the morn yo. then back to slackin at home again. (y)

chalet was uh okay la. we didn't really do much activities. which is really dumb. majority of the time was spent vegetating in the room and playing the xbox. grr. next year must have a PROPER chalet! no xbox! (slau don't complain)

in total about 15 ppl appeared, although there were only about 9 on both nights. and everyone went to sleep damn early walao. stupid wep.

highlights:

1)kevin lim and his uber-randomness. as well as all his retarded jokes like "eh cake how was the refrigeration last night? not too cold right?" and "lets get a cakecutter! ...whoops." cos after that i stare at him like o.O and he runs away LOL.

2)random soccer at pasirris park using jorel's deflated minibasketball! haha KEVIN LIM IS T3H UBER PWNAGE! heehee xD we played for almost 2 hours and i've got abrasions on my feet where my sandal straps are supposed to be.

3)xbox where slau got pwned @ doa XD
k la not so bad. haha but i still beat him a few times with AYANE woohoo! XDXDXD
and i owned at crash nitro xDD 1st in all races HAHA

haha and my we8 now not bad la...improved (= but I HAVE NO MO4QI4 WITH CARVIN. his uber randomness is too much for me. T_T

4) going out with paul and seetow to buy a small ball, and whacking it everywhere on the way back. i hit a fan >_< after watching it wobble we decided to zao. lol. but damn funny la we were going damn random, giving some funny commentary while we whacked the ball in one of the empty spaces near aranda. XDD

5) going nuts in the room with paul's beach ball! ...that burst cos of us. HAHA. we were smashing (i.e. volleyball smashes) the ball at the wall and at slau (and his food) (y) then we played keepitup, which was oso quite fun lol. then seetow burst the ball. walao seetow! haha!

6) k wait this isnt a highlight. WAITING 3 FRICKIN HOURS for someone 18 and above the come T_T
cos even though paul and his mum said can i wasnt allowed to checkin WALAO. stupidstupidstupid.

was feeling quite emo-ish just now, for unstated reasons, but i'm feeling better after i remembered all that.

at the start of the briefing (which was for vbc - vacation bible camp - btw) the speaker said he'd like to keep it brief, as its called a BRIEF-ing. okay such a joke might be bad but it can be forgiven. but the sad thing was that it wasnt brief, at all. we ended after a 2 3/4 hour presentation, 45 minutes longer than it shd have been. ppl were zaoing from 315 onwards HAHA.

rushed home, then collected the paperwork for the chalet from paul. 3P-ers drop by and let me know if u'll be there on tues for checkin!

theres something to be said about how utterly hilarious footballmanager07 can be xD

first was nani taking a corner in the 89th minute, with timewasting set to full. sometimes players will just wait for the ball to be passed to them for the deadball. nani stoned at the corner flag, watching the ball go past him for i think about 6 times, letting it roll on. LOL. time wasting at its finest baby. (although i cant stand it in real games but fm doesn't count)

second was the arsenal game, in the second leg of my champions league quarters second leg. in the 8th minute, rio ferdinand knocked henry out with a clattering tackle. denilson, who undoubtedly has to be the star of the show, got furious and pushed carrick (?). if he pushed ferdinand i can understand but why carrick? so he got a yellow card. 10 seconds later (which is evidenced by the running of the clock and no commentary takes place) denilson pushes carrick AGAIN. which means, a red xD HAHA I ALMOST FELL OFF MY CHAIR PLS. this takes the hat (Y)

wow long day today.

woke up early with the great plan of leaving the house at 915 -

which meant i had to reach the busstop at 930.

leaving the house at 915, i headed off to the coffeeshop near my house.

he came with kopi 2 minutes later T_T

then after that i told him that i wanted HALFBOILEDEGGS.

he came with some quite soon after, but then told me must wait 7 MINUTES.

eh 7 minutes is alot of time okay. since i had to rush off to school.

so i waited those seven minutes, quickly broke and ate the eggs, pouring much too much pepper and getting my hands full of yolk at the same time, rushed off.
reached the busstop at like 940.

i thought 'shit die lo. late.'

then i waited for another 20 minutes cos that freaking 59 just wouldnt come.

OYA I REGRETTED DRINKING THAT KOPI. i couldnt sleep at ALL on the bus, even tho i was freaking tired. feels like utter crap.

then went around to stone with tiankai until 1245, met jerome at traffic junction, and somehow we ended up helping teachers move stuff from old staff room to senior block. for our valiant efforts we got 1 timeout each. whoa. we should get cip hours! xD

i was like expecting 40-50% turnout only cos the ticket sales weren't too hot but man, we almost had a full house pls! =))

800 tickets sold, 714 went. EITHER WAY WE SOLD OUT ALL OUR TICKETS WAHAHA.

fortunately there weren't really screwups, and PATRICK PERCUSSION DIDN'T HAVE THE 10 SCREWUPS WE PREDICTED! XD actually right i think we had less than 5 throughout!

only thing was that some sections were abit too 'gan' (i.e. erhu n mebbe chuigan)

other than that we rocked! headmaster was impressed WITH PERCUSSION LEH! WOOTS. he said we looked like we were enjoying ourselves HAHA.


feedback was that the concert was really great! HEH.

Spent 12 hours out today. Left home at 730 for prac, left prac at 1210, chionged to taonan for the fair, went to Safra Tampines, came home at 730. How exact.

Zzz we should have just gone out first.

After doing nothing at the fair, we went to search for hanni's second brilliant idea of the day, which is a (supposedly) damn cheap bowling alley Katong Mall. In the end, we walked ONE BIG ROUND and we still didn't find it. Presuming it exists. For the record, Katong has a hell lot of ulu malls.

Then we walked to Zhemin's house, and got dumped by him there -.- We didn't even get to go in -.-

After going to Bedok Interchange, Xiong dumped us there -.-

SO Stanley Hanlin and I went to Safra Tampines ourselves -.-

Presumably to bowl, after finding the rates at 3.80 per hour and all the pool tables taken up (WALAO I WANTED TO PLAY POOL T_T WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS HAHA) we went to LAN -.-

And that sums up quite a tiring and rather pointless day -.-

HAHA i won the quadruple with man u yesterday!

beating inter 5-0 in the semis for champions league and liverpool 5-0 and arsenal 6-0 in the epl (Y)

beat liverpool in the fa cup final with gary neville sent off (in the opening 20 minutes) with an injury time winner from carrick (freekick at edge of box) for a 2-1 win!

then beat acmilan in the champions league final with louis saha sent off (after 60 min) and a 108th minute winner from ronaldo to finish 2-1 winners!

in both games, i only scored after going down to 10 men. randomness.

and carvin is an idiot -.- he kop all the cheap and pro players! zzz.

LAN fm is quite irritating. ESPECIALLY WHEN CERTAIN PEOPLE KEEP ON SPAMMING CONTINUE AND I HAVE NO TIME TO TRANSFER PPL. (ahem who is it ah)

okok i shall post about our interclass final!

at first on tues (er yesterday) we thought it would be after school, but in the end it was postponed till recess. that was bad because i was still very tired, tired until i slept in class past the bell and into morning flag raising T_T NO ONE WOKE ME UP LARH!

but anw we went slightly late cos we got back our lit papers. (which i got 21/25 for btw xD i think its quite taiko)

that meant that 3R was already there waiting for us. like home court advantage alr la! somemore tom and merrill were almost late T_T

when the game started, we were quite on fire la for the first time since the first game. we were raining shots upon their goal. they had one off the line clearance and we hit the post three times T_T damn suay lor pls.

then controversy. from a corner (or throwin? whatever) the ball floated into the area. tom grabbed it out of midair, but with his arms around dillon's head. so when he pulled it back, it smashed into dillon's specs and the ball dropped. from the ensuing scuffle in the box, mikeybin whacked the ball into the open goal.

fortunately paul was there to rescue us with a brilliant save (ahem reflex). of course it was a handball, and penalty. at the time i didn't think it, but looking back i wonder why paul wasn't red carded. lol. so mikey took the penalty, and blasted it slightly wide of the top left corner, to our relief. if they scored we knew that we would confirm be out alr. so imagine our reaction when mr chng made them retake the penalty, cos not everyone was behind the line T_T damn scary lor. then hanni went to take the penalty, but blasted it too high. we were safe again!

playing on, we had one more off the line clearance before time ran out and it went to penalties.

gwar and slau took the first two penalties, and both scored! so we were 2-0 up and quite confident abt winning it. then we missed the next 2 and they scored 3. -.-

so at 3-2, it was to be the final kick of the game if we missed (cos we took second). paul stepped up to take the penalty. damn pressure la pls. i was damn freaking scared, and i confess that i didnt dare watch it LOL. i only looked up to see the shot fly into the top left hand corner. DAMN NICE SHOT LAH PLS. under pressure somemore. haha paul on fire! during lunch hanni told me that he thought they confirm win le. lol.

then nico tan had to take the next penalty to his chagrin and anger. tom made a gd save from the shot, and if we scored the next penalty, we were champions!

so chee took the last penalty, having already won us the game against 3D with another winning penalty. running up, i was damn shocked when he hit it with the outside of his foot! i was like WTH LAH CHEE DON'T BE FUNNY then the banana shot flew past nicotan for the goal! WOOTS it was a good shot haha. but now he damn ego. oi chee.

haha so we won and then taupoked chee and peng (who rushed into the centre of the field, presumably to be taupoked -.-). after the game i felt quite happy about my performance. haha before the game i thought their aerial threat to be too tough to handle, but i didnt miss or screw up any headers! haha and i marked mikeybin out of the game w00ts. our defence was damn fluid! whenever anyone ran up to attack we automatically covered for the gaps. impenetrable defence baby. lol then tom remarked after the game that he didnt have to make a single save! ^_^

haha so now we're interclass champions for the year 2006! xD

having taikoed our way through, i think we were bloody lucky! it really could have gone either way for many games. must give thanks to God haha cos without Him i think we'd have bowed out long ago. nvm next year we shall win it with ownage attacking football (Y)






zzz slept the most of today. stayed at home cos i was sick, and missed the tech rehearsal zzzzz. nvm i go find out what happened later. and i finalized my re grp for next year alr! slau paul and (i think) hiok. yay good group. no more slackers next year UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE XD
